After a Year of Levelling Up, We’re Set for Growth

Video by Gio Petrucci, GioGrafik

I’m so grateful and inspired by our progress in 2024 — and there’s more to come in the year ahead!

Over the past few years, Snow Collective has been strategically building alongside our growing clients. We laid important groundwork in 2022, cultivated what we had created in 2023, and this last year, we levelled up!

As momentum has built, we’ve nurtured incredible relationships with both longtime and new clients. It’s a pleasure to share some of the highlights with you. Everything we’ve accomplished has set the stage for meaningful growth in 2025—so be sure to read on for a sneak peek of what’s ahead! ;)

Our team’s culture is something to be cherished

This was such a positive, productive year at Snow Collective, and I’m so thankful and amazed at how our team has levelled up, individually and together.

In July, Snow welcomed our new Chief Operating Officer, Jenny Simpson. Jenny and I met over a decade ago, when she was my boss at a large multinational agency, TBWA\Toronto. I’m thrilled that she’s joined us, as she brings a great deal of clarity, structure and joy to the team—which is fitting because Joy is her middle name!

This year saw another big change in our team, as Alex Lamont Thomson embraced an opportunity to join the Bluewater District School Board as a full-time digital communications specialist. Our longest-standing team member, Alex has been instrumental in our success. Snow Collective simply would not be what it is (or even exist) without Alex’s dedication, commitment, friendship and incredible talent. While we’ve felt this change deeply, we could not be more thrilled for Alex. She has levelled up in her career and is flourishing in this new chapter of her life. To say I’m grateful for all Alex has accomplished and nurtured at Snow would be an understatement. I can’t thank her enough, and I wish her every success and joy possible. It’s incredibly well deserved. <3

Lastly, I want to acknowledge how our team was there for each other this year, always offering compassion and care through life’s challenges. From personal struggles to the broader turbulence we’re seeing in the world these days, we were all in it together—and I am so proud that we have cultivated this remarkable culture of empathy and belonging.

A huge ‘Thank You’ to our amazing clients

This year, we deepened existing relationships and welcomed seven new clients to Snow Collective, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the ways we’ve levelled up together. Whether teaming up for a project or dialling into full engagement for a year or longer, Snow has relished the opportunity to help these organizations showcase the fantastic work they do. Here are just a handful of the highlights.

After connecting with Millenilink through the Toronto Region Board of Trade, we’ve been deeply involved in supporting the tech talent acquisition firm’s always-on communication. This rapidly growing Black-owned, Canadian business brings a fresh, ROI-based approach to tech recruitment while training and elevating young professionals within their own team. They are expanding internationally, and it’s been inspiring working with them.

Over the summer, we teamed up with Hospice Toronto to get the word out about their 22nd annual Hike for Hospice fundraiser. Community care is a value we hold near and dear at Snow, so it was a pleasure to collaborate with this organization on such a worthy cause. What an incredible event!

Our team is also excited by our new adventure with Dundee Recycling. The family owned and operated business is now being led by the founders’ grandson, Stephen Kropf, an enterprising millennial who has built the business tenfold in the short time he’s been at the helm. He’s keen on creating competition in an industry that is rapidly consolidating, and our collaboration to support his ambition is really heating up. Stay tuned for more in 2025.

Finally, I want to acknowledge how grateful I am to have deepened our close relationship with United Services Group, a leader in the environmental services sector. United has undergone amazing organizational and technological transformations to support growth nationally. With a full rebrand completed in 2023 and the company’s largest technological evolution well underway. 2024 was a year for zeroing in on digital tools and strategies—including implementing SEO, Google reviews—to support their sales team. It’s such a pleasure to work with this innovative family-owned company, and we’re excited to grow in tandem with them in the year ahead.

As we head into 2025, we are primed for growth

This past year of levelling up has laid a strong foundation for Snow’s growth in the year ahead.

A big part of our strategy is extending our focus into the U.S. as we prepare for expected economic growth in the market over the years to come. As always, our goal is to work with amazing sales-led businesses that are embracing change. Whether they’re welcoming new leadership or it’s time to reintroduce themselves to the world, we want to help them evolve.

Another important part of our growth strategy is choosing who we work with carefully. We want to support independent companies that are carving their own path and striving to be the successful underdog in the market. And we want to grow and fight with companies that share our values, our work ethic, and our belief in valuing people and treating them well. Ultimately, our goal is to elevate businesses that are creating sustainable opportunities for employment and personal growth—because that’s the key to healthy, thriving communities.

Finally, I want to thank all the entrepreneurs and business leaders who have rallied around us and joined us in this journey. We’re grateful for your trust, ideas, support, and kindness.

At the end of the day, we’re all humans first—and I am proud that this is one of our guiding principles.

Here’s to another year with the wind at our backs!

Dan, and the Snow Collective team
